கடவுள் இல்லை என்றால் நாத்திகம். 'இருக்கிறாரா, இல்லையா' என்பது கண்டறிய முடியாத ஒன்று என்று நம்பினால் அக்னாஸ்டிக். பிடிகொடுக்காமல் பேசுவது என்று அக்னாஸ்டிக் வாதிகளை விமர்சிக்கலாம். 'ஆண்டவனைக் குறித்து அறியேன்' என்பவர்கள் முதல் பலவகையான நம்பிக்கையுடையோரை உள்ளடக்கியது.

இறை நம்பிக்கை இல்லை; அதே சமயம் இறை நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை மூடர் என்றும் ஒப்புக் கொள்ள மனம் ஒப்பவில்லை என்பவர்கள். ஏனென்றால், 'கடவுள் எங்கே என்று யாரும் காட்டியதில்லை! அதே சமயம், கடவுள் கிடையாது என்பதையும் யாரும் திட்டவட்டமாக அறுதியிட்டு நிரூபித்துவிடவில்லை!!'

அறிவியல் ஆராய்ச்சி மூலமாக, எவராவது நிலைநிறுத்தும்வரை எப்படி நாத்திகத்தின் வழி நடப்பது என்று வினாத் தொடுப்பவர்கள்.
